Consider Before Regression Session:

Many technical and empirical aspects are involved in hypnosis and past life regression. I would like to highlight two such observations in this message.

Sustained Emotional Release:

In this condition; additional emotional, psychological and physical symptoms get activated as a result of experiencing hypnosis/past life regression. The usual symptoms are activation of pain, irritability, dullness, weeping, sadness and the like. This phenomenon occurs only in a few cases after experiencing hypnosis/past life regression. The activated symptoms may persist for minutes, hours, days or even weeks. When such symptoms get activated I usually give a time frame of about one month to the subject for resolution of these symptoms. I have been closely looking into this phenomena and I found that it rarely lasts more than one month and ultimately results in more or less healing and resolution of the problems. The repeat sessions result in lesser probabilities for re-activation of these symptoms. A subject is required to take care of himself/herself during this period of resolution. I would invite members from this group to share more on this condition so that I can further add to my understanding of this condition.

Regression vs. Imagination:

The regression experience is released by the sub-conscious mind similar to the content released during dreams. It is subject’s own mind which generates all thoughts, visuals, feelings and experiences during past life regression. There has not yet been any conclusive evidence that this experience in all the cases relate to the actual former lives. As on date, I conceptualize it as follows: (1) in some cases the regression experience can be a valid experience of past life (2) in some cases regression experience can be a mix of valid past life and imagination (3) in some cases the regression experience may be an act of imagination. No guidelines have yet been developed which can discriminate for sure to which class a regression experience belongs. In general, when a regression experience results in enhanced understanding, resolution of the problem and marked emotional discharges; we can consider the possibility of either a valid past life access or a mix. I have been looking into the factors which make a subject feel that the regression experience is an act of imagination even if it appears to be a valid past life access or a mix. I have conducted an extensive Google Search for this issue, I could not find any reasonable response to this feeling of imagination by the subject and I am still in the process of generating hypothesis for this phenomena. I would invite members to add to the knowledge by sharing their experiences which can clarify it.
